I began my science investigation with my focus child. I was totally blown away by the knowlege of my student and his ability to show and explain to me what he knows about the life process of a human being. He wanted to do the assignment on a netbook. He was e genius and knew exactly how he wanted it. He was the AKO in that situation.
I found it rather difficult this week as I had alot of things in my personal life to juggle, a very sick baby whom was to ill to send to daycare, therefore having to have a day off campus learning and half a day off SBL. I know these things happen and this week it certainly did. However i was very happy with my investiagtion and i look forward to disecting the information i gathered into my assignment.
I met my Parkvale year 5 netball team. We have decided on a Wednesday afternoon training session which commences the first week back of school, and the games that starting Saturday. Exciting times ahead.
As it was Easter fast approaching, I asked my MT and teacher whos class I was in if it was possible for me to give chocolate eggs out. The students loved this.
Our candidate teachers provided morning tea for the teachers.
I was ecstatic that one student made me a magnet to put on my fridge that she personalised. So lovely.
Rosalie, you have made the most of SBL, your blogs reflect lots of learning and a really positive time. It is clear that you have worked hard to build relationships with the students and in return they have become very comfortable and engaged with you. Your reflections indicate that you are making links between theory and practice in a wide range of curriculum areas as well. You have also accepted challenges and found ways to overcome them, this is a very important teaching skill. I look forward to reading your future blog entries.
